I'd like to thank both the Vet Douglas and his staff for their kind and timely treatment of us and our dog. I'm updating this post months out because I still remember how good and nice they treated us and our dog. I will forever remember him rushing out to help me pull my dog from the truck and the kindness he showed as we put him down. My thanks to everyone there, they treated us so kindly.

Took both my dog and cat here. The doctor is professional and pretty chill, and so is the clerk. Prices are reasonable and straightforward, with no pressure to get unnecessary services. It’s a small clinic, but you can usually get in pretty quickly. Definitely recommend!

I would not bring your pet here to get treated. I would give zero stars if I could. The services we received were horrible. Back when my parents first moved to Colorado Springs in the summer of 2022, our 17 year old family cat started spitting up blood. We brought him here to see what was wrong. The vet was so rough with my cat. He flipped him over so hard onto the exam table, that my cat cried out and I visibly flinched. When examining his mouth, he used so much pressure, he made my cat profusely bleed from the mouth. The vet quickly said he likely had cancer and just left it at that. No treatment options or what we should do. Nothing. We left with no real answers because he didn’t offer imaging to confirm what he believed. The vet also said my cat was not in pain, but again wasn’t able to tell us why he wasn’t. After those horrible services, we went to another vet who was so much better. They were gentle when handling my cat and immediately did imaging to figure out where the blood was coming from. Turns out he had bone cancer and was in immense pain given the progression of it. It was throughout his body. The cancer had also eaten away at bone deep within in his mouth, and he had a massive hole in his mouth, which is where the blood was coming from. The cancer was so progressed and the type so painful, they said we needed to euthanize him in the next day or so, which we did as we did not want him suffering. We did not receive any of those answers from this place and he would have continued suffering if we had followed this vet’s advice from a shoddy exam that was 5 minutes long. If you care for your pet, take them somewhere where they will actually treat them gently and with kindness and help actually figure out what the problem is. It was clear he didn’t even care for the animals he was seeing.

The other day I had an Emergency with my American Bully. I called Vets all around who would not make same day appointments. Care Free even though is a smaller office provides far more experience and real life help and solutions VS these corporate offices that give you minimal medicine to force you to come back for another $300 appointment. But not at CareFree i got plenty of medcine and solutions same day!!! They will forever have all my business from this day forward. Lokki and I say THANK YOU DOUG REGNIER!!!!!!
